Copenhagen 10/6 2022. 75 cl bottle from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Simple white label with two Cherries in watercolors.
Pours murky Carl brown with red hue. Mid-sized, bubbly off-white head. Settles as thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is intense with sweet, ripe berries mingling with prominent sourness. Cherries in abundance. Vanilla and marzipan. Green apples and sour gooseberries. Touch of vinegar.
Carbonation is medium strong. Slightly thick, oily, greasy, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness overpowered by a strong sourness. Aftertaste is tart and a bit searing with a gentle ripe sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is tart and dry.
Sweet cherries getting pummeled by tart and sour bullies. Good one.

750 ml bottle, at Cardinal, Stavanger. 2019 vintage. ABV is 8%. Murky / opaque deep red colour, moderate off-white head. Lovely aroma of cherries and cherry kernels, oak and marzipan, a hint of vanilla. Sour flavour with the same elements as the aroma, also notes of red wine vinegar.
