Had this served in an Imperial pint glass. Thick, rich head of white foam over a hazy yellow body. Lots of visible carbonation. Left lots of rich lacing behind with each sip. Nice looking beer.
Aroma was really nice. Complex saison character with some lemon /citrus combined with some spicy character, maybe just a hint of clove and coriander. Abit yeasty in the nose, too. Really a bright smells that were very inviting.
Flavor is similarly complex and balanced. The two things that come through in the flavor that really weren't so strong in the aroma are 1) a nice pilsener malt presence that is nicely bready and full, and 2) a bit of alcohol warmth coming through from the 7+%abv. This is one of the better saisons I've tasted and is really pretty similar to Hennepin. This is a rich, complex beer that still comes across as light and bright and excellent for summer drinking. This is certainly the best of the three beers that I had a the Top of the Hill Brewery on my visit. Excellent quality beer.
