Poured on-tap at the Tap House and served in a shaker pint, the beer is listed as a Quad, but looks more like an Amber. Maybe a Belgian Amber? It pours a caramel-amber color, with a thin, sparse, white head. Nose of cherry, date, and fig, with a bready backbone. Flavors are rich toffee and caramel, with subtle spice of clove and all-spice. Not overly Belgian. Smooth, robust bodied, with a slightly spiced, rich aftertaste. Finish is smooth, slightly cloying, and slick. Meh...this one is hard to get a hold on in general.
