Mezzanotte combines the sweet Italian desert flavors of Cappuccino and Tiramisu to create an exciting flavor profile.

Fresh at the brewery with a nitro pour.
Appears blackish, nice creamy head.
Smells malty, sweet, chocolatey.
Tastes malty, coffee, chocolatey, vanilla, and sweet.
Mouth feel is full and malty.
Overall, a very fine example of a porter, and I'd definitely order again.

16 oz can from NC ($3.25) served in a Belgian snifter.
Pours with an opaque, brown-black body and a semi-durable, foamy beige head.
The aroma is not very promising evem though it carries a mix of hops, vanilla, chocolate and (stale) coffee. Thankfully the flavor is much better than the aroma suggests.
Smooth, medium-full body with relatively lively carbonation.

Pours dark mahogany, becoming black in a PBGC Subtle pint. The thin, dark almond head is creamy and holds steady at a thin blanket. Spotty lace covers the glass.

The aroma opens with strong roasted chocolate. Vanilla is followed by light coffee ice cream and sweet lactose.

Sweetness seems to be a theme. Malted milk balls give way to milk chocolate. The Teramasu rif is blatantly evident. Bitterness presents late and within the warm finish. The finish is modest and long lasting.

A medium body with creamy texture and soft carbonation. Alcohol is barely perceptible.

This is a relaxing beer with lots of flavor. It would go equally well as a dessert or sweet session after work. I enjoyed it better in the cooler temperature range.

A: Pours a clear but opaque very dark cola brown in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising quickly along the edges of the glass and moderate chestnut brown + garnet red colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall foamy ta head that quickly reduces to a large patch of very thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of roasted malts with light aromas of vanilla extract + lightly roasted coffee and a hint of lactose sweetness.

T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of roasted malts with a light flavor of chocolate malts and a light amount of lactose sweetness. That is followed by light flavors of vanilla and slightly heavier than light flavors of lightly roasted coffee. Light amounts of roasty bitterness in the finish which lingers for quite a while.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly thin/watery.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol but a little too thin in the mouthfeel/body for the style in my opinion - I really liked the description of this beer but I was hoping for more of a rich dessert stout.

Black color with a thin white head. I don’t taste any vanilla. Slight alcoholic note, surprising being only 5.4%. Coffee taste is really off. If it’s brewed with coffee, it was gas station coffee that was brewed yesterday.

Dark brown beer that lets a little litght through on the edges. The tan head fades and leaves a wide band of lacing. the aroma is full of roasted dark malts with a healthy dose of vanilla. There is also some coffee aromas as well. The taste is sweet malt, roasted malts, coffee vanilla and a complimentary char/hop bitterness. This is a really good porter.
