Appearance: Arrives with a cloudy brown color and a modest tan cap; speckles of lace

Smell: Brown bread, bruised apple and dried fig

Taste: Starts out rather fruity, with bruised apple and rum soaked foig flavors; after the swallow, the flavors intensify; some metallic notes in the finish

Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation

Drinkability: Slightly harsh, but generally pretty good flavor profile

On-tap at Raleigh Times served in one of their custom tulips a murky brown that is crisp on the edges and topped by a thin khaki head. Aroma is slight brown malts and a hint of fruit. The taste is a nice blend of brown malts and slight dried fruit with mild spice. The beer is on the light side of medium with decent alcohol warmth. This is a respectable American brewed Dubbel.
