After reviewing some notes, I realized I had not entered this beer. It was served at the Raleigh Flying Saucer in a firkin for one night only. I believe this was aged in a bourbon barrel for 6 months.

Pours a hazy amber color with light chocolate highlights. Frothy and creamy white head due to the beer being on cask.

Easy hop aroma with nice vanilla aromas and a touch of oak. Quite special and different. The vanilla is prevalent and really adds something to this beer.

Vanilla with a touch of hops in the flavor. Smooth and creamy. Great mouthfeel. Nearly full bodied wihtout being chewy or sticky. Wonderful drinkability. I had three that night and wanted more.

I had never heard of this brewery before but this was an amazing beer. Thanks Aviator!
