On tap at the breweries tap house on 12/29/11.
Pours a deep amber with a quarter inch of foamy white head that has good retention. There are obvious carbonation bubbles rising to the top. The nose is very heavy rye that is spicy. You can also smell some piny hops. Up front you can taste some spicy rye but it finishes sweet with some citrusy, piny hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, smooth, and well carbonated.
This is a decent beer. I like the rye and the hops. It drinks well. With a little balance this could be amazing.
