12 oz can poured into a tulip glass. This has a weird sour twang, almost fruity. A bit metallic. There is some decent caramel/nutty malt flavor as well, but the off-note is hard to ignore. I tried to get through it but dumped the last few ounces.

Appearance: Pours a clear, medium orange color with a strong white head. SRM of 12. (4.00)
Aroma: Moderate to strong aromas of bread malt, yeast, with a noodle and tomato sauce aroma. Some light floral notes behind that. (3.75)
Flavor: Flavor follows the nose with bread malt, yeast, a tomato sauce and noodle flavor. Lightly floral. Neither sweet, nor dry. (3.75)
Feel: Medium-bodied. Moderate carbonation. Some tomato and floral notes linger. (3.75)
Compared to Third Space Oktoberfest 9/27/22: Pours a lighter color. Milder aromas. More tomato and floral notes. Less smooth caramel malt. Similar body.
Compared to New Glarus Staghorn 9/27/22: Pours a lighter color. Milder aromas. More tomato and floral notes. Less smooth caramel malt. Similar body.
Overall: A decent Oktoberfest here. Has the bread and yeast flavor. Interestingly the yeast flavor gives a somewhat tomato sauce and floral flavor. A little bit of a spaghetti twist from this one which was odd. Enjoyable, but a little off for the flavor profile. Mama mia. (Rating: 3.75)

Pours a translucent, foggy, brownish-copper body capped with a cascading head of rocky, dense, white foam; great head retention yields a craggy, creamy cap and frothy, moderate collar alongside a comprehensive array of chunky, webby lacing around the walls of the glass.
Aroma shows bready spice and brown bread crusts upfront as moderate yeast meshes with assertive minerality and hints of sarsaparilla over middle; buttered toast, caramel brittle, roasted grains comprise the close.
Taste brings muddled suggestions of heavily toasted grain and bread upfront with a light caramel background; a touch of earthy clove over the mid-palate into minerality and bready spice on the back end and a water cracker finish, while burnt bread crusts linger in distance.
Mouthfeel features a medium body sporting a subdued grit and ample, puffy carbonation; a moderate grit persists through an even mid-palate, after which thin, watery impressions present on a quick finish.
Basic, indistinct, and lacking much of any coherent presence across the palate; this is a surprisingly unimaginative Oktoberfest considering the relatively ample ABV, and a bland and uninspired take on the style overall.

12oz bottle
L: hazy caramel colored body; foamy beige head sticks to the glass
S: nutty grain, fresh ground malt, bread crust, earthy hops
T: unique; nutty malt, caramel, bread crust, earthy/spicy hops
F: medium body, ample carbonation, balanced finish
O: unfortunately this one misses the mark in my opinion

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours red orange with a small white head. Smells of dark roasted grain with slight caramel, little bit of fruitiness. Tastes of caramelized grain with cereal grain notes, and a tad of spiciness and fruitiness. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

Poured a little more yellow for the style, but had nice foaming on pour. Overall watery and bland, with caramel and bread elements undercut by watery yeast and hops, and a strange salty ending note on the taste. Smell was more grain forward than anything. Nothing offensive, just much better marzens out there.

Pours a nice blonde color with caramel shades. Head is huge, and a sight to see. Lovely puffy clouds all over, tons of thick, spiderwebby lace.
Musty barn grain meets tart backyard apples in the aroma. Some really nice tart notes going on here, with slight citrus.
They really nailed the style. A heavy presence of munich malts, slight pilsner malt, and a grand display of apple, pear, melon, toasted bread, and sharp saaz hops. Fresh over-baked bread is left lingering on the breath.
Feel is a little creamier than I'd like, typically in this style I want hard, electric carbonation, but it makes it a sipper and that's not a bad thing .
Overall, this Oktoberfest was my first of the season and it won't be my last, but this was a great start. Very accurate, good stuff. A+

L=Reddish golden...more yellow than most; adequate one-finger white head
S=Honey, bread, slight herbal
T=Pretzel bread, with a hint of honey...seemed to drop off halfway but recover near the end.
F=Decent body...at times, a bit too light/watery vs. what I would consider the ideal märzen.
O=One of the better märzens from Wisconsin, but still a bit lacking vs. German offerings. I want to try on tap and would likely buy this over others available.
