Served as a deep reddish-amber colored beer with modest white puffy head.
Smell is a nice combination of piney, citrusy hops and fruity malt.
Taste also combines the hops and malt nicely with the hops dominating.
Finishes with a nice hop dryness that is tempered perfectly by the malt.
A very enjoyable beer. Would be worth revisiting.

Brew poured an dark orange amber with a nice creamy off white head. Great IPA aromas- citrusy hops, raw leaf and resinous. Malts were also present- bready and slightly roasted. Very cool and clean flavors. Hops dominate with grapefruit and otherwise earthy oily slickness while the biscuity malts add a mild sweetness, an almost molasses-like flavor. The finish is slightly sticky with a lingering hop bitterness. Very nice mixture of the IPA and amber styles.

15.8 P starting gravity. 6.5% abv. 75 IBU's. Big Red IPA!!!

Hazy amber with a crimson cast and orange highlights at the base of the glass. Short creamy tan head. Good head retention and lacing.

The nose is fruity with notes of apricot and dull citrus, and also offers some pine and spice.

The flavor reveals a solid, brisk combination of spicey, piney, citrusy (grapefruit, tangerine) hops over a gently sweet, lightly doughy, caramelish, and toasty malt base. A bold bitterness washes over at the swallow and lingers into the finish, slowly ebbing away.

It could be a little more rounded, and a little more complex (or just clear about the flavors that are there), but it's pretty good as is. An impressive, aggressive IPA!
