Thanks to JLindros for sharing this bottle. 2017 vintage.
A - Just touching the cage makes this cork explode with a bang. Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a dark mahogany hue with a huge three finger head that fades to leave light wisps and a thin halo.
S - Aromas of super old, stale barleywine. Flashes of rum but really not good.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with big rum notes, super hot alcohol. Caramel, old malts and hops. Bitter cardboard, lingering almost metallic. Very unpleasant.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, acrid, almost burnt.
O - Overall this was a really, really bad. Horrible barleywine and sharp rum. Just garbage.

Picked up on my trip down PA last winter, shared with rudzud
cork explodes out of it after opening the cap, erupts with loads of fizzy foamy head that fills the glass but fades semi quickly, dark hazy brown color
Nose is like a really old 2008 like barleywine, old aged soft malt, oxidation, some strange fruity notes, a little rum and barrel like notes, little yeast and some boozy alcohol, mild dark malt, caramel toffee, little spicy hop, candy syrup and vanilla oak with the rum, very rummy yeasty and boozy
Taste sweet candy, big candy malt, reddish candied apple with fruity esters, touch of phenol with big fruits, decent rum and vanilla toasted oak notes, little bitter tannic hop and malt notes, plenty of boozy alcohol tingle warmth and fusel notes, big rummy, tons of oxidation and paper cardboard, tannin thing
Mouth is heavy bod, a bit syrupy, decent fizzy carb but boozy tingly alcohol and rummy
Overall bleh, not good really
