On draught at pub. Nice golden color with very little carbonation, almost still. Not much aroma to speak of, not surprising for the lack of carbonation. Flavor is quite pleasant, traditional and not too sweet (abv now 9.4%). Mouthfeel again suffers from the lack of carbonation being slightly syrupy. Properly carbonated this could be a very good American Tripel.

Tripels are not my favorite style in the universe. But I didn't hate this one. Poured a slightly hazy golden-yellow color with a foamy white head that receded to a ringlet. Belgian yeast and toasted grains in the nose, banana esters and a bit of spice. Pretty typical for the style, nicely balanced. More of the same in the taste, and just as balanced, lighter than some of the more in-your-face tripels, but still quite flavorful; toasted grains, sweet malts, yeast, banana, clove. Medium body, soft carbonation, and well-done overall, even if I'm not a big fan of the style.
