This is one refreshingly tart, sweet, kettle-soured ale. Bright pink, brewed with pomegranate, hibiscus, rosehips and cranberry. Say hello to your new crush!

Easily one of the best Sours in Canada. I’m so glad to find Garrison products in Alberta after recently moving west upon graduating from Dalhousie University a few years ago (we used to pregame at Garrison when they first opened, back in their unlimited drinking, one hour brewery tours days).

This beer has got a ton of Pomegranate that’s the most pronounced flavour I’m picking up, along with the Rossehips and Hiiscus as the complimentary notes. The Cranberry is there as well bringing most of the sour. This is on the sweeter end of Sours and I really like that they are bringing four major flavours to the party, making it a real balanced sour.

The ABV on the can is higher at 4.9%, which is different from the listing here.

L- Fittingly, this beer pours a red-pink Raspberry colour with a thin, slightly pink head that dissipates quickly.

S- The aroma reminds me a lot of Grenadine, which makes a lot of sense considering this was brewed with pomegranate juice.

T- Sharp, tart leading edge of raspberries and cranberries that fades to a sweet pomegranate note.

F- Smooth, Medium body with a light effervescence.

O- Easily one of the most delicious kettle-soured ales that I've ever had. It's got incredible flavour and aroma and a nice, light body to pair with it nicely. Two thumbs up from me!

473ml can - time to pucker up, buttercup! Lots of 'red' adjunct ingredients, so let's see what they can do for you!

This beer pours a clear, medium magenta colour, with a teeming tower of puffy, finely foamy, and mildly bubbly pale pink head, which leaves some splendid snow rime pattern lace around the glass as it slowly seeps away.

It smells of cranberry, raspberry, and cherry red fruit, soured milk, gritty and grainy cereal malt, and some indistinct musky floral essences. The taste is cranberry cocktail, pomegranate juice, grainy and bready caramel malt, ethereal tart lactose notes, and more estery and musky floral acridity.

The carbonation is adequate in its palate-pleasing frothiness, the body a solid middleweight, and generally smooth, with nothing really getting in the way of a swell-ass time at this particular juncture. It finishes off-dry, the frooty and floral character predominating in the lingering state.

Overall - this one might be a tad mis-named: it's not exactly all that tart, but it is indeed full of flavour, as previously mentioned. Crisp, refreshing, and another grand tipple to kick off the last holiday weekend of the summer (or at least stave off the inevitable return of the pumpkin ale!).

On tap at the brewery, 4oz sample: Deep cloudy red color with good lacing. Flavors of tart cranberries, sweet cereal and wheat, with floral hops. Slick medium body with a moderate crisp. Medium strength sour finish that ends with a soft pleasant corn feel and decent freshness. Overall good quality craft.

Pomegranate hibiscus wit beer. Very floral & carbonated. Sweet but not overdone. Great flavor. Nose isn't overbearing. Color is beautiful...but not typical "beer" look, so don't let it scare you. Smooth, crisp, & flavorful.

End of the keg poured with a large pinkish-white head over a hazy pale copper body.thin body works ok with medium, high carbonation and the flavor profile. The flavor and aroma are very fruity with a strong, dominant pomegranate note and subtle light bread.
Slightly sweet despite a touch of tartness.
