Sampled at the PRF BBQ tasting soiree, several ounces poured into a tasting glass. Thanks to Marsupialized for sharing this one, and Peppers/EmpireStateTroopers for hosting!

Hazed light gold body with visible streams of carbonation. Ample layer of white foam that had a creamy surface texture. Some spotty lace present.

Skunky aroma of noble hops, wet hay and grass. Comes off more like Dupont than anything.

Flavors are earthy and grainy, almost to a fault, but pull back before becoming overbearing. Some farmhouse yeast at work in there too possibly. Medium bodied, light on carbonation. The spelt seems to be the dominant taste as it warmed up, working in tandem with some funky yeast and grassy hops in the background. Seems more of a Farmhouse Ale rendition... their website indeed lists it as "Belgian Saison".

Amber color beer, clear looking and heavy on carbonation. Nice foamy head on top of it. Beige.

The aroma is so good. Fruity and spicy, but very well balanced. It has some tart (bite) to it. Very nice. In the mouth, I get some warmth... nice. Fruity and spicy with a good amount of carbonation. This is very thirst quenching with a very nice taste to it. I like it.

As the beer warms up, I get some farmhouse smell in the aroma. Nice! Complex body as it warms up. Delicious. Don't drink this one super cold, let it warms up a little and drink it around 8C. Nice beer.

Bottle: Poured a dark hazy golden color ale with a large slightly off-white foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of grain and spicy yeast strain with nice floral notes is just about perfect. Taste of spicy yeast with great malt bill and dry finish is just about perfect. Body is full with good carbonation. I was expecting some kind of special grain but I never expected such a fine saison. This brewery is slowly becoming a must-try.

Enjoyed at the brewpub, this is amber spelt. The carbonation was right there, it had a blonde coloured body and lots of lace. Average mouthfeel. The aroma was yeasty and a little of that came into the taste. Drinkable and not bad, different though not exceptional.
