500ml, June 2013
Hill Farmstead wine glass
A: Hazy bright yellow color. Full finger and a half of bright white fluffy head. Leaving some sticky lacing sheeting. Lots of tight tiny bubbles. Good carbonation.
S: Lots of yeasty esters. Chalk. Banana. Clove. Wet hay. Wheat. Not a lot of "funk". More like a Belgian white on nose. Sweetness.
T: Up front, banana clove spice. Lots of character of a Belgian brew. Lighter in body. Sweet light malts. Yeast really drying this out though. Wish the Brett shows more, but there is some mild funk. Wet hay. Dry finish....but not so dry. Refreshing.
M: Medium body. Refreshing.

A:
Pours a glowing, cloudy summer yellow with a great, pristine, creamy white head that retains a gloppy two-inch cap throughout. Great retention; lacing that resembles lightly whipped cream in consistency.
S:
Lemon, floral, apple skin and yeast-tinged dough. Really fresh. Smells like a hot day sitting in the shade.
T:
Tastes clean and soft. Floral and citrus sweetness that gets progressively heartier with a yeasty, hoppy finish. Really nice on the whole.
M:
Soft and creamy, rich and mouth-coating finish/aftertaste. Really pleasant.
O:
Really tasty beer overall. I find Saisons to consistently hit a lot of right notes, so I suppose it could just be the style. Regardless, so far I have really liked what I have had from Boquébiére and I like the hoppier profile of this as compared to other saisons.
Would have again. Well worth getting.
