Pours a golden color, with a small 1/2 finger of head that dissipates quickly. It has legs though, which is pretty impressive.
Aroma is an odd combination of barrel and strawberry pop. Some dry grains in there. Very faint overall.
Flavor is 100% Budweiser with a slice of strawberry on the lip. The oak aging is not apparent, but perhaps since Bud is beechwood aged that's why this beer reminds me of it. It's very dirty, grainy, and slightly skunky. Definitely not the bright fruity element I was expecting, nor the aged barrel character.
Feel is heavily carbonated which is refreshing, but has a weird oaky feeling afterwards.
Overall, I was hesitant to pick this up, but my lady insisted on it. I just asked for one out of the 4 pack to review, and I can gladly say the rest is hers. $10/4 pack is way, way too much for this. Maybe as a $7.99 6 pack they sell, it could be passable.
