Poured into a sniffer. This is from their 5 Gallon series, so if you haven't it yet it's probably gone now.
Appearance: Bright red with minimal head that quickly fades into a thin ring around the side of the glass. Very clear with tiny bubbles rising rapidly to the top.
Aroma: Hints of cranberries and other fruit with a touch of acidity. I'm not sure what huckleberries smell like.
Taste: Tart up front with a subtle sweet berry taste similar to blueberries.
Mouthfeel: Light body with high carbonation and a dry finish, a nice summer beer for a hot Texas summer.
Overall: The only thing I didn't like about the beer was the finish. It was strange going from a tart taste to a bitter aftertaste.
Side note: Apparently huckleberries are very similar to blueberries.
