Pour is beautiful, deep pink/red. Minimal head.

Smell is straight pickle juice, and almost nauseating coming from a beer.

Taste is still very strong pickle juice, although a slight fruitiness comes through from the prickly pear.

Feel is moot at this point, but not bad.

I have had many sours/wilds, and some pretty poor examples. However, this is probably the first that I would absolutely not serve. I wish QC was a bit better, and maybe this is isolated, but freetail needs to eat this batch and move on.

Great offering by Freetail. Pink to strawberry red in color, very nice mouthfeel but slightly over carbonated on draft. Smell is great & this slightly reminds me of a bitter strawberry wine spritzer. This one was tried On draft at the Freetail location in San Antonio Tx.

On tap at the brewpub shortly after the La Muerta bottle release. This is the same recipe as the 2011 RealTail collaboration beer between Freetail and Real Ale, only with prickly pears added.

The beer pours a same reddish-pink color with a white head that you get from all of the prickly pear beers from Freetail.

The aroma is exactly what I expected, with a lot of prickly pear notes. I also get a little bit of wheat and some light tartness, but the pear notes dominate.

The flavor follows suit. There is a ton of prickly pear and pickled cactus, as well as some light pepper and some wheat. The tartness from the aroma is also present and adds to the beer.

Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

This beer is just as weird and odd as the Prickly Ate' and Prickly Fairy Peril, but for some reason I liked this one better. I can't really explain it, but something about it was just better.
