Currently #31 on the Top Rated Louisiana Beers list.
"DDH IPA." 6% ABV. $4.50 USD for a 12oz pour on-draught @ the taproom.
Hum-ho flavour profile/hop profile. Floral, a bit citrusy. 2-row/pale malt.
Not horribly well balanced or built. Rather average at best.
Drinkable but forgettable. Not a beer I'd buy again, but at least they price it fairly.

Pours hazy, orange-brown in color with 1/4 inch head. Taste is lemon, lime, dark bread, and grapefruit. Bitter, medium heavy bodied, with moderate carbonation. Makes for a good bitter sipper. Could have several.

A thanks to the reigning champion of canned beers, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a hazy dark orange color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of tropical fruits, some pine. Taste is equal parts tropical fruits and pine, light peaches, moderate bitterness. Feels full bodied in the mouth and overall is an enjoyable beer.

Decanted from a 12 oz (355 ml) can into a conical pint glass; best by 08/01/18, code: BEER, IT NEVER GOES OUT OF STYLE.
A: Pours a very hazy amber color with a brief, quarter inch, light tan head which rapidly resolves to a rim leaving a decent amount of soapy lacing.
S: Aromas of cookie, caramel, toffee, molasses, and cocoa predominate.
T: Sweet and a little boozy despite modest ABV. Palate largely follows the nose. Relatively low bitterness creates a very limited counterpoise to the sweetness.
M: Medium to full bodied with moderate effervescence after decanting.
O: Enjoyable enough without necessarily being a stand out. A bit unbalanced.

The CANQuest (tm) is rolling along in high gear as New Catch-Up Beer Sunday (Week 696) CANtinues in all of its unabated glory!
From the CAN: "Store Cold. Drink Fresh."; "'Laissez la bonne biere verser'" (Let the good beer pour)' "Double Dry-Hopped India Pale Ale"; "syncopation: …"
I Crack!ed the vent on this CAN & beCAN a slow, gentle Glug into the awaiting glass, but as it poured, it became obvious that there was going to be a bit of haziness, so I CANtinued the Glug to the end. Sure enough, it was Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7) with a slight haziness. So be it! Nose was on the sweet side, filled with CANdied orange peel & caramel malt, but with some pine mintiness & also some pineapple. Mouthfeel was medium-to-full, not quite creamy, but definitely big for this style. The taste was CANpletely unexpected! I figured it to be another tropical fruit salad, but cool pine & white oak jumped out at me, followed by orange peel, caramel malt and a light pineapple sweetness! OMFG! If I closed my eyes, I would have sworn that I was drinking a DIPA. Man, was this drinking big. Finish was dry, but very cool and minty, like sucking on a Cryst-O-Mint Life Saver. This was a great interpretation of the style, but they could ramp it up only slightly & have a killer DIPA, also. YMMV.
