A light summer ale brewed with a significant amount of smoked malted barley. It is light in flavor, fairly dry, and noticeably smoky. It is a bit stronger than the Moose Island, yet just as light in flavor and bitterness. A great choice for a hot summer day, refreshing, and thirst quenching with a unique smoked accent. This beer will compliment any BBQ items on our menu - an ideal choice to accompany our ribs and pulled pork.

Smokin Blonde Ale has a fairly clear golden-yellow body and thin white head. Pretty good retention, but only a spot or two of lacing.
The aroma is a good mix of pale malt and smoked or rausch malt.
The taste follows the flavor pretty closely. A good bit of lightly sweet, bread-like pale malt. Next comes a moderate amount of smoke and rausch malt. I don't think that I've ever had a smoked beer that has a pale malt base, which makes me like this beer even more. Novel takes on traditional beer styles are always interesting to try.
Good bit of carbonation, low-bodied.
I like this one, it's always nice to try a beer that surprises me a little bit. Lake Placid Brewpub is a pretty neat place.

The beer pours a pale gold color with a thick frothy white head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is decent. It has a light, pale malt scent along with a mild smoked malt aroma. The taste is good. It has a very drinkable pale and rauch malt flavor. It's not too heavy with the smoke; just right. It goes down with ease and finishes dry and clean. The mouthfeel fine. It is a low bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is a really good beer. It's a nice take on an otherwise ordinary beer.
