On tap at Lake Placid Pub and Brewery in Lake Placid, NY.
This one pours a mostly clear golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This has a nice oaky sweetness to it on the nose, along with lemon, light grassiness, and some breadiness.
This feels a bit more advanced than the basic styles that Lake Placid is known for, so I'm happy to see them trying something like this. It's got a nice hop character, slightly fruit, mostly grassy, and the oak adds a creamy and pleasant dimension to the beer.
This is light bodied, clean, and pretty creamy and crisp, with a good drinkability.
I like the effort here - it's cool to see an old school brewery evolving.
