Imperial IPAs are basically a bigger bolder version of a traditional IPA. Ours is significantly stronger. It’s more bitter than our IPA with 100 IBUs, and significantly hoppier. It is hopped with a blend of Warrior, Simcoe, and Cascade hops.

I'm not sure if this is a one time thing or if it has been brewed before. It's going to be a very cold weekend up here so perhaps that is why they decided to put this one on. At any rate, it being in my favorite style I had to get some!
A - Pours a hazy golden orange with a one finger sticky tan head. Good retention and lacing.
S - Plenty of sweet malt and piney hops. Lots of citrus fruit in the nose too.
T - It's a wallop of citrus and pine hops. Very sweet tasting imperial, much like 90 Minute. Predominately grapefruit hops and caramel malt. Alcohol is not very well hidden, this is a very strong ale though. Slightly bitter and dry aftertaste.
M - Thick chewy mouthfeel with plenty of carbonation. I usually find imperial IPA's to be undercarbonated, this one has plenty.
D - Very strong, and very sweet. I'm definitely switching to something lighter after a few. But it's a nice treat when the weather is cold!
