Bottle labeled Barrel 2 Batch 224 at 42 degrees into hand washed and dried chalice
Aroma of fruit, weak, which immediately attracted a fruit fly
Head – basically none. Using a slow controlled pour the fizziness eliminated any head before it could really get started
Lacing – none
Body dark reddish-amber, hazy; sediment in bottom of bottle
Flavor sour (slight pucker) and oaky, fruity but not distinctly any fruit, some spiciness; no hops, no alcohol
Palate light, watery, lively carbonation
Appearance 4.25, Aroma 3.75, Flavor 4.5, Palate 4.5, Overall 4.25

750 ml wax topped bottle, Barrel #3, Batch 224. Served in a Prairie Teku glass, the beer pours a dark orange/reddish color with about a half inch off-white head that fizzled away quickly. There isn't any lacing at all. Aroma is nice and tart, the brew smells like tart cherries, vinegar, and oak. It tastes like tart cherries, vinegar, oak, and there's also a light fruity and brown sugar sweetness noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it's a bit coating with low carbonation. I liked this brew, it was enjoyable and refreshing. $13.99 a bottle.
