Look: Opaque orange with a decent eggshell head that sticks around at ½ finger – already leaving good lacing
Aroma: Barley malt sweetness, some herbaceous hops in the mix, fruity esters throughout as well
Taste: Malt sweetness, herbaceous and grassy hops up front along with another flavor that comes into the fold and seems to be also adding to the overall body of this beer, especially at 3.9%. That other flavor is hard for me to out my finger on except that it tastes like potato water smells but I can’t say since I’ve never drank potato water but have used it while cooking
Mouthfeel: Nice and full for such a light beer, medium-high carbonation and a decently dry finish
Overall: This is very unique and enjoyable. I love everything these folks do and once I saw “a small beer brewed with potatoes” on the label, it sealed the deal on the purchase and glad I did. The potato addition adds a lot to the body of the beer in my opinion as well as the flavor and this is put together quite nicely. An interesting way to kick off the evening. Good stuff
