Sample at the brewpub. Pours a hazy light amber color with a medium thin white head that diminishes steadily. Stringy lacing. Light raspberry and earthy malt in the nose. Light-bodied with notes of tart raspberry, wheat and bland malt flavoring. The finish is short and tart with a light raspberry aftertaste. Forgettable overall.

I am so glad they brought this back again. This year's batch is very good. It doesn't have that lambic look that past batches have had, but has a nice dark straw coloring, instead. Smells great, a nice crisp malty wheat scent with hints of raspberries. Excellent taste! The brewpub always does nice fruited wheat beers, and this is one of the best. Great wheat beer on its own, but adds a great, mild raspberry flavor, very refreshing, just the right amount, and doesn't go overboard. Easy to drink (I had a just about a whole pitcher myself last night during dinner), a wonderful beer.

WVBC is back in business and thier first batches contain a favorite of mine: the Raspberry Wheat. Mmmmm.
Nothing to really write home about, appearnce-wise. Pale, cloudy amber with a hint of red. Good head, which was a bit surprising considering I bought the growler two days before I drank it. Minor lacing, however.
The smell and taste are identical and very, very nice indeed. Light malt, light hops, and a huge hit of raspberries. It's crisp in the mouth and a silky finish as is slides down the throat. Ultra refreshing and not very high on the alcohol meter, either. Perfect summer brew, and not bad any other time either.
Way to go Ned!. Were I him, I'd put it on the menu as a regular.

I'm usually not a fan of the American Wheat infused with a fruit, but this time it wasn't so bad. Oh, and it was the bartender's choice down at the brewpub at a dollar a pint. Appearance: Cloudy golden amber thin white head leaves specks of lacing. Aroma: Sharp wheat sweetness with a nice mild burst of raspberry aromatics very natural no syrups or artificial flavoring added to the boil. Taste: Mild raspberry flavor didn't consume the palate wasn't overdone, just right with the mix of wheat ale characteristics this made for one refreshing summer time brew. Mouthfeel: Lighter bodied easy going carbonation not bad at all. Drinkability: Typical American insert random fruit wheat ale but it was better than most plus I found incredibly thirst quenching and palatable.
