Appearance This one was a beautiful reddish-orange in color with a monster head that left some awesome lacing.
Smell The sharp, piney resin aroma jumps straight out of the glass. Theres a very light, slightly-sweetened malt base to this one as well, but the piney hops make this one a standout.
Taste This one has a very sharp, hoppy taste to lead things off. It seems more like citrus than the pine from the nose. This is followed by a much bigger malt balance and a sweet, almost tangy finish.
Mouthfeel Theres some good carbonation to this Amber Ale. The body is a little shy of medium but theres enough hops here to make it refreshing and a bit dry.
Drinkability I had no problem putting this bottle to bed. The flavor didnt quite live up to the nose, but overall this is a very good example of the style.

Found this one at ABC Liquor and figured I would give it a shot.
Not too bad of an ale, I've had MUCH better ambers though. There is a distinct acidic feeling when drinking. It hits you right in middle of the mouth and is generaly not a good feeling.
While this beer might be okay sometimes, it is certainly not an everyday type of beer. It is much to acidic and very unpleasant in large quantities ( I had 3 the first night I bought it and thought I was going to die).
If you must drink beer in a night, please make this the last one you drink, afterwards you probably won't want to drink anymore.

Received a bottle among other offerings from a pal who recently was on vacation.
On the pour, a nice foamy head quickly sprang to life. The beer had a cloudy amber look with a pretty up-front malty aroma. All seemed fine...
After my first gulp, which sampled not bad in taste, I started to notice very much that the beer was WAY over-carbonated. The beer started to foam up right in my mouth. Undrinkable for me.
Perhaps I have just a bad bottle. A pitty, as I was looking forward to a fine beverage. (This was my only bottle of Dergy's; oh well, back to my cooler for more - other beer!)

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
