Wow! Really great packaging on this one! From the lithographic-looking girls face on the cap, down to the "time card" that the industrial looking metallic front label holds in place. Very nice!
It pours a slightly hazy, very deep amber body with a full head of creamy beige foam. The head retention is excellent and it holds a thin cap throughout the entire glass, all the while leaving some very nice lace. The nose is perfumey with dry, powdery-sugary candy (mild bubblegum) and flowers. There's a caramel side to it as well, some fruit, and some light citrus. It's quite interesting, but somehow odd. The body is quite dextrinous and there's a creaminess to the mouthfeel; but its very fine, moderate carbonation does initially lend a light tingle to the tongue. The flavor is rich with caramel-soaked maltiness, floral and citrusy hops, and a touch of phenolic plastic. The hops appear first, lightly acidic and citrusy - then floral. The caramelish malt becomes apparent as it warms across the tongue; and it finishes with candy and flowers, some sticky caramel-malt and a long lingering, moderate bitterness and low-key plastic/bubblegum phenolic.
