A very deep chestnut or possibly mahogany body is capped by a wafer-thin head of creamy ivory froth. The head receeds shortly to a wide collar and it leaves only tiny, spotty lace. The nose is welcoming with notes of light, dry cocoa and almonds. The body is light bordering on medium; and its very fine carbonation gently tingles the tongue leaving it quite smooth. The flavor is much more bitter and aggressive than the nose suggests with a solid bitterness and some dark-roasted acidity. The roastiness, that comes through, however, is a welcome addition to its delicate maltiness and subtle grassy hoppiness - although it seems a little overdone. It finishes bone dry with a long-lingering bitter and roasty aftertaste.

Light brown with a full tan head and active carbonation which leaves lots of lace. Then it's down hill from there... Strong harsh aroma which is kind of roasty but not in a pleasant way. Strong carbonic taste/bite and again slgihtly roasty. Light bodied and airy/effervescent.
