Poured from an awesome looking 16 OZ can into a pint glass. This beer pours a black color with a minimal tan colored head. Has a nice malt and rye flavor with some roasted coffee in the backdrop. The body is medium with a light carbonation. Overall this is a nice smooth textured beer that is very good.

Poured ontap and served in a shaker pint, the beer is jet black, with a tall, dense, creamy, dark tan head. Aromas of cream forward, bitter roasted coffee, and a spicy grain backbone. Very balanced nose. Flavors of bitter roasted coffee forward, with highlights of coca nib, cream, and spiced toasted grains. The rye really sharpens the palate up a bit. Smooth, creamy bodied, but light throughout. The aftertaste is rich and bitter coffee and cream, with a spiced grain highlight. Very balanced throughout. The finish is soft and smooth, with a cocoa and coffee linger. Very nice.
