On draft in tulip glass

Look- Light copper golden color with faint haziness. Dense 2 finger white head that dissipates into solid ring of bubbles that lasts forever. Leaves nice web of lacing on glass

Smell- Wow! First impression is bursting with juicy tropical hops, second visit I get some pine and hints of the malt

Taste- didnt quite live up to smell in my opinion, mostly on the juicey-ness factor. More bitter and piney than expected but still great hop character. Extremely well balanced hops and malt. Great job

Feel- medium carbonation for style, alcohol presence is noticeable but not overwhelming hop flavor lasts on the tongue but not in a cloying way.

Standout IPA in a sea of average offerings.

A: Pours a hazy deep burnt orange in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate golden yellow highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense foamy beige head that slowly reduces to a large half finger thick cap in the center of the glass surrounded by a thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of tropical/pineapple, tropical/mango, citrus/grapefruit, and floral hops over the top of slightly less than moderate aromas of caramel malts + brown sugar sweetness.

T: Upfront there is a moderate flavor of caramel + biscuit malts with a moderate amount of caramel + brown sugar sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of tropical/pineapple, tropical/mango, citrus/grapefruit, and floral hops which impart a light to moderate amount of lingering bitterness.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Initially slick with a light amount of dryness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and quite enjoyable. The unique combination of hops provides an enjoyable flavor and aroma. Definitely one to try again.

Pours into a nonic a hazed deep burnt orange with a fluffy one and a half finger slight off white head that settles into a frothy mass.Juicy citrus fruits abound in the nose along with some floral and candy sweetness.Sweet and sticky upfront on the palate but in a good way, very citric and slightly herbal,a sweet biscuit dough malt base is true to the finish, the alcohol is relatively tame.A fantastic beer with that many hop varietals it had be unique and it is.Great job here.

This is truly the best smelling beer i've ever encountered. Most IPA's the smell kind of fades away after a couple sips/sniffs, but every time I go back to this one you are just BLASTED with a heavy Citrus, floral, medium pine aroma. It doesn't fade. Taste is also fantastic. One of the best beers i've ever had the pleasure of putting in my mouth. It's a shame they only release it once her year and in such limited quantities.

Pours a mostly gold with a very slight amber hue, nice foamy head with solid retention.

Nose is primarily citrus forward with a hint of sweet malt underneath.

Flavor is pretty fantastic - lots of ripe citrus with a decent bitter level and a nice balance from the malt bill. Nice clean finish, wonderfully refreshing. Tons of great hop flavor at a reasonably low ABV and won't blow the palate after one.

Shame there isn't more of this around and it won't be back until next year.

Poured from a tallboy into a shaker pint, the beer is a slightly hazy, copper-gold coloring with a filmy, low profile, clingy, white head. Aromas of tropical fruits, heavy on the pineapple and melon, with strong notes of grapefruit, mango, and orange rind. Also, notes of pine, grass, and some earthy notes. Very dynamic and layered aromas. Flavors are tropical fruit notes forward, heavy on mango and melon, with a solid caramel backbone. Roasted overtones, with subtle notes of peppery spice. Piney and evergreen hops characteristics, with some sticky, dank notes in there, too. Seriously, there's a lot going on in here....77 varietals. The body is smooth, slick, and robust, with a resinous, tropical fruit sweet, and grassy aftertaste. Very balanced, from beginning to end. The finish is slick, smooth, and slightly dry. Good beer.

What an exceptional beer. Clear copper almost amber in color with an off white head that leaves minimal lacing. Floral, citrus and caramel notes in the nose with a taste that follows. Malty, hoppy and the taste of burnt sugar and caramel with a nice bitter ending that lingers. A little heavier mouthfeel like a double IPA but it fits this beer nicely. An amazing feat of beer engineering to create a beer with noting but 77s. If you can find it, drink it. If you made it, make it again. It is a masterpiece.

When poured into a glass there was a tad bit of sediment, but with an over hopped IPA that's to be expected, even the best IPA in the world has some sediment. This was the first beer in the world to be hopped with 77 different varietals of hops. What's really brilliant is the ability to really pick out which were used during different times in the brew. Golden in color and brilliant citrus and pine to the nose. Very light bodied in the mouth and super quaff-able. Super drinkable and not terribly over powering to the palate. 7.7 Abv and 77 IBUs means they had an idea where they were going with this beer. Very tasty, I highly recommend it. Cheers
