Poured from a 12 oz can into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Clear light golden pour with thick foamy white head. Great retention/lacing.
S: Crackery grains, grapefruit, and lemon citrus.
T.F: Semi-sweet up front... grains and grapefruit... some tartness.. lemongrass and spice and yeast. Modest bitterness mid-swig. Zesty, complex and tasty. Light bodied. Well carbonated.
O: A surprisingly tasty grapefruit saison. Great mix of flavors that work really well together. One I'd have again.

A: Golden amber in color with a large off white head.
S: Light pepper, and lemon balm, with a spice and herbal finish.
T: Zesty! Lemon balm, citrus, and grapefruit, with clove and black pepper.
M: Light bodied, high carbonation, and a semi dry finish.
O: While I think you could get a lot of these flavors using traditional ingredients, I think this is an interesting take on grapefruit as an ingredient.

Poured into a small chalice: color is copper, head is off white with fine bubbles, head presents about 1/2 inch thick and dissipates to thin top, not much lacing or retention.
Smell is feint grapefruit, light ester and phenol notes.
Taste is grapefruit with blend of malt sweetness and belgian yeast ester and phenol notes. A bit sweet and not sure the grapefruit enhances the base beer.
Mouthfeel is moderately carbonated, lingering sweetness and then some drying.
Overall grapefruit character is not overpowering but it doesn't seem to enhance a subdued saison base.

A nice clear reddish orange beer with a slightly off white head that leaves a little bit of lacing behind. The aroma is crackery with some hints of peppery spices, cloves and grapefruit. The taste is quite good with the traditional banana, clove and yeast of a Belgian style beer up front with a quick shot of pleasing grapefruit taste at the end which is complimented with a nice bitter finish. This is a pretty tasty beer.

Poured from a one-day old howler. The beer pours a hazy, orangish-amber color with a two finger, thin, white head.
The smell is sour, saison funk, and some grapefruit.
The taste is very grapefruit forward with a decent funky taste. There is some flavor I can't quite figure out and something slightly metallic, although that decreased as it warmed.
The mouthfeel is thick and oily with minimal carbonation.
Overall this is a bit muddled on flavors. The grapefruit Saison flavor comes through but there's something else in there that's slightly off.
