Pours into a nonic a deep mahogany color with a creamy one and a half finger off white head atop that had good lasting power.Roasted pecans and big caramel in the nose,slightly boozy but not overly obtrusive.Palate starts out not overly sweet but after awhile the sweetness creeps,roasted pecans are nice,a bit of drying earth trys to cut into the hefty sweetness but it's still pretty damn sweet.It is sweet....Yes but it's a dessert beer so it's ok,it has other things going on to keep the palate happy.
