Served from tap into a Black & Blue III shaker. Poured a massively dark brown with a minimal khaki colored head. Maintained decent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, roasted malt, wood, sweet alcohol, and tobacco. The flavor was of roasted malt, tobacco, wood, sweet alcohol, vanilla, and dark chocolate. It had a medium feel on the palate with medium carbonation. Overall this was a good brew. The aroma on this one for the style was very nice and complex. I actually enjoyed the subtle tobacco characteristic going on here as you would not normally expect it. The flavor was pretty nice too with definite signs of the soaked oak chips treatment coming through. Really added a nice complexity to the brew. Just wish some more of the subtle flavors would not have been overpowered thouugh. Definitely worth trying if you get the chance.
