a really taste new england style ipa here, and hands down the most modern and sort of new wave beer i have had from these guys, who always seem stuck in a previous generation of craft beer when i drink their stuff. this is really pale, really dense looking, but soft too, creamy headed, looks like tons of oats and white wheat, like right out of the other half playbook, which is a compliment, they rarely look this good when they are hazy. aroma is fresh and tropical, mango for sure to me, ripe peach, yellow plum, and papaya and melon too, and they are there in the flavor like this as well, somehow really dry for feeling so full on the grain side, and with ever so slight bitterness that doesnt let me forget i am drinking an ipa. i love the smoothness of the feel, the distinct hop layers that come in waves, and the overall cohesiveness, flow, and unforced nature of the beer overall, i wish more of these hazy ones had this sort of mellowness about them, mellowness of vibe, not of flavor. id love to know what all hops are in here, but things like mosaic, galaxy, amarillo, and el dorado seem likely. there is epic freshness to this, and somehow an uplifting carbonation that makes me want another pint, and maybe another one after that too. this is one of the best hoppy beers i have ever had from montana, super impressive, and would stack up well against the big boys in the style! bravo!

Kettlehouse Shady Brady IPA
Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a super hazy orange-yellow color with a one finger head of pure white foam. The head has a decent level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell - The aroma is sweet of an orange and tangerine smell mixed aromas of light tropical fruits of papaya and pineapple. Along with these smells comes a good deal of some sweeter grapefruit hop as well as a nice hit of a dank herbal, pine, and grassy smells.
Taste – The taste begins with a sweeter orange juice, tropical, and doughty taste that was detected in the nose, all with it accompanied by some grapefruit hop and a touch of grass. As the taste advances the sweeter fades a little bit still remains rather strong and is joined by some herbal and pine hops. Other tastes of some hay and yeast join the tongue toward the end, and with an increase in the citrus sweetness and hop, one is left with a rather nice fruity and hopped taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the slightly thicker side with a carbonation level that is slightly lower. For the citrus tastes, diverse hops, and abv. the feel is great as it accentuates the flavors all while keeping it still in an easy drinking feel.
Overall – This is a rather nice fruity but well hopped NEIPA. Tasty.
