Served on tap in a snifter glass
Appearance – The beer is served a dark amber color with a small tiny head of fizzy white foam. The head fades very fast to leave just a trace of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is strongest of a bready smell that contains a bready and pine hopped smell. Along with these aromas comes some citrus and fruit smells as well.
Taste – The taste begins with a rather bready flavor that has a good hit of an herbal and pine hop upfront. These flavors create a base taste with some other lighter citrus and sweeter tropical fruit tastes coming more pronounced as the taste moves on. With some grass and a bit of alcohol burn, one is left with a warming taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is a little bit thicker and chewier with a carbonation level that is rather low. For the boozy and bready tastes of the brew as well as for some of the dank hop the feel is quite nice.
Overall – While nothing too extraordinary, a fairly nice double overall and one to at least give a go to.
