Clear, very deep brown and red with what is a white-ish head and a good amount of lacing.
Flavors are sweet malt, vanilla, bourbon, and some very light medicinal hops. The lingering flavors are vanilla and sweet malt. Carbonation is exceptionally light, and could be heavier; it'd add heft to the ending flavors, which currently tastes kinda watered down?
However, I would like to say that I really appreciate that it's barrel aged and a reasonable abv.
Would, and will, drink again.

Served on tap in a snifter
Appearance - The beer is served a brown color with a small white head of foam. The head fades fast to leave a little bit of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell - The aroma is strongest of a chocolate and whiskey smell mixed with a little bit of toasted malt. Along with these smells comes a touch of char and smoke.
Taste - The taste begins with a malty taste with a decent showing of toasted malt and some caramel and molasses. There is a touch of chocolate, but it is very light in comparison to what was expected from the nose. As the taste advances the whiskey becomes more and more pronounced on the tongue and is joined by some flavors of char and a bit herb. Toward the end, the boozy taste increases in intensity and leaves one with a somewhat weak (flavor wise), but sorta boozy tasting taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body of the brew is rather thin for a wee-heavy with a lower carbonation level. The lower carbonation is great, but a thicker body is certainly needed to hold up the flavors, so ahhh...
Overall - Needs a bit more body and taste, but the booziness was spot on. Not the best barrel aged brew, but well worth a try.
