this is subtle and summery and good, a little something different from these guys, i dont recall ever having or seeing any belgian styles from them in the past. this is a tasty wit type, with an obvious orange complexion, a mellow belgian yeast strain, and perhaps a little something spicy and floral, coriander, elderflower, and white pepper all flash in and out of this, not sure whats an ester from the yeast or what is an actual ingredient in the beer, but it doesnt matter, its all real cohesive and balanced, this is an easy drinker for sure. i like the yeast not totally taking over the beer as it often can in these, and i can taste quite a lot of the wheat underneath it. the malt is a little sweet to me, a honey taste to it, and more sugar left at the end than i generally look for in a wit, but with some light bitterness from the citrus element and the flowery esters of the yeast, it all works together very well, and the sweetness ends up not slowing me down much at all. carbonation is good, as it has to be in the style, and orange element comes out a lot as it warms, especially on the finish. summery and relatively unique to me overall.
