Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden color with a small head of white foam. The head has a decent level of retention, fading over time and leaving a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is rather light overall, being strongest in some notes of grain and must. Along with these smells comes a bit of citrus, with some orange and lemon, along with notes of earthy and floral hop.
Taste – The taste begins with a grainy flavor paired with some of the earthy and floral hops that were in the nose. For a juicy pale ale, I am not getting too much fruitiness, just a little bit of tangerine and a hint of apple and pear. As the taste advances there is a bit more fruit that eventually joins in, with some apricot and grape coming onto the scene. A bit more hop joins in at the end as well, and with notes of herb and grass, one is left with a more crisp and rather mild taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body is rather light with a moderate carbonation level.
Overall – A pretty easy drinking brew overall. Nothing too special, but good none the less.

From a 16oz can. Canned on 06/26/2025
This beer is slightly murky and golden in color. The head is a thick 3 finger white head that has great lacing and good retention.
I am getting some citrus hops in the aroma. I am getting hints of malts also in the aroma.
Pine hints are in the flavor. Some citrus notes. Malty notes come into play here. Slight bitterness on the back.
Great body. Smooth. Decent fullness.
I am saying "this is good" aloud. This is very tasty and a great beer to drink.

Poured from 16oz can into a kitchen glass. No date on the can.
Appearance: yellow golden hue with a moderate haze and a thick layer of frothy eggshell foam.
Smell: moderately sweet with a rather plain citrusy character. Not too bad but not super interesting.
Taste: malt is lightly sweet with a bit of dry, crackery character, and hops are more of the same citrusy-ness. Bitterness seems a little high for the sweetness.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: it’s not the worst beer out there, certainly, but it’s just kinda meh.

another very good beer from kettlehouse, been impressed with recent modernity, not all scotch ale despite what pays the bills around here. super on trend right now, yellow in color, no caramel malts in this at all, and not overly hazy but not clear either, unfiltered at least i would think, super pale, wheaty looking, decent white head from the can, airy. the nose here is awesome, fresh, and definitely southern hemisphere to me, juicy passion fruit, green grape, and maybe honeydew melon, dry with some grain behind it, but herbal and fruity both from the hops, real springy and even kind of delicate, lovely. the flavor is about the same, surprised this isnt rated a bit higher here on BA, its all there for me, although maybe lower bitterness than some folks like from their pale, i like the drinkability of this, especially with the real low alcohol, clean ferment, and finishing dryness. tangerine, clementine, white wine, lemon verbena, light dill and coriander too, so new and emergent, love it. good enough carbonation for this real light body, and overall we have a pale ale here thats drinkable and modern and never even a little bit fatiguing. definitely of the new school, but the hop profile rules, lime leaf and cantaloupe at temperature, herbal still, just fantastic. summer weather vibes, but id never say no to a cold can of this...

16oz can purchased in Yellowstone. Poured out a hazy, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of bubbly foam. It left sudsy lacing. It smelled of orange juice, floral notes and toasted bread. Sweet citrusy taste with a sharp bitterness and toasted caramel backbone.

Look: burnished goldenrod with a fairly persistent finger high white head. Only mildly opaque with moderately high carbonation visible from the glass. Lacing is great as well.
Smell: definitely on the hoppy side here, but shows excellent restraint. It’s dank without being overpowering. It just smells so juicy but that it will also not punch you in the face with hops. Pine and Grapefruit and Dank are predominantly what I smell here.
Taste: Refreshingly musty as if that couldn’t be a big enough oxymoron. A lot of the nose carries through in the palate. It’s crisp, but has a decent malt backbone to even out the hop profile. There is definitely a longer finish to the bitterness on this one.
Feel: Carbonation feels spot on. Very lively and tickling which is exactly what you want out of this. It’s just ever so slightly thin in the glass, which is a little disappointing because I loved this beer in the can.
Overall: Feels a little on the bitter side to be sessionable, but is still a thoroughly enjoyable brew from Kettlehouse. I tried quite a few of their beers while in Montana and this one and their New England IPA were my favorites of the bunch. This was just juicy and fresh and a really, really solid brew.
