Lake Missoula® Amber is “In Search of Cooler Times” with our efforts to continually use less energy as a brewery. It was a bronze medal winner at the 2000 & 2009 NABA awards and is a robust “beer drinker’s” amber. Amber in color with slight residual sweetness from caramel malts balanced well with Golding hops.

06/20/08- Had via the tap on my two week Montana vacation.
Presentation- Via the tap into a standard pint glass.
Appearance- Light amber colored pour with a 1/2 inch head. Nice lace patchwork as well.
Smell- Sweet caramel malted scent with a light hoppy nose.
Taste- Very well balanced with the sweetness coming from both the caramel flavored malt and the lemon and orange hop flavors as well. Mildly bready and lightly nutty.
Mouthfeel- Medium carbonation with a slight sweet and hoppy aftertaste.
Drinkability- One of the better ambers I have had. Probably top 5 at that. Brews are picking up at Kettlehouse.

A: Poured from can an amber color, good sized white head, good lacing down the glass
S: Smell is very nice. Sweet, caramel, toffee scents
T: Sweet taste at first, slight bitter hoppy bite at the end. Well balanced beer.
M: Light to medium bodied, pretty easy drinking.
D: Another excellent beer from Kettlehouse, as good an amber as I've had in quite some time.

This is a nice light amber. The aroma is very light with just a hint of the malt within. The predominant flavor, yet not heavy, is of caramel. This is another quality beer from this surprising brewery.
