Many thanks to muchloveforhops3 for this bottle!
Vintage: 2021 (Bottled 1-3-22)
A - Dark brown pour with dense, caramel colored soapy lacing and some legs on the sides of the glass.
S - Nice chocolate roast on the nose with light Bourbon notes, some char, coffee, and charred cocoa. Alcohol is surprisingly subdued for such a big beer.
T - Toasted chocolate char, coffee, Bourbon, oak, some underlying coffee bean, and finishes balanced with lingering cocoa char mixed in with some Bourbon.
M - Big silky body with some warming on the way down the hatch. Leaves a light sugary residue on the lips and finishes dry on the back of the tongue.
O - This is a really nice blend of Bourbon Barrel vs. the base beer with neither overpowering the other. Recommended.
