Props to kettlehouse for this great, drinkable, smooth barleywine.
Appearance: pours a reddish brown, a bit light for a barleywine. Tiny carbonation bubbles float up the side of the glass, and there's the faintest ring of foam around the top.
Smell: Nice smooth caramel notes and some dark rum soaked fruits.
Taste: amazing, smooth, nonabrasive barleywine. Lots of mellow, sweet notes. The alcohol is masked extremely well.
Mouthfeel is great--and I rarely have nothing to criticize for mouthfeel.
