Cloudy orange/brown, little head. Super sweet, heavy but thin and a little tart on the back. Was this beer a screw up? Would be curious to know where the idea came from. Would not try again.

oh dear god what were they thinking with this? i thought they were back on track here with a couple of real solid beers in a row from the lips of faith series, but this is horrifically bad. its an acidic and sweet belgian type beer, that attempts to fuse two styles that could not be more disagreeable, and a divorce is instantly required. the lemon part of this cuts whatever richness there was in the quad, leaving only yeasty fruit esters and sugar, while the acidity lingers and turns metallic with the grain in the finish. harshly tannic too, and what quad is 5% abv? oh yeah, a real watery one. id be surprised if anyone really likes this, its off and wrong on so many levels. one of those kitchen sink beers that just doesnt pan out. thank god i had some other really good new belgium beers this week to keep the faith. dont even risk this one, not worth it.
