Bubbly, dry, crisp, and refreshing, Brut IPA is inspired by our favorite sparkling wines. With hints of tropical fruits and champagne, this effervescent brew is the perfect cheers to the New Year.

The clear pale golden yellow colored beer pours out into a Duvel glass with a 1” finely bubbled off-white head that recedes very slowly to a cap of foam and then eventually a thin irregular island of foam with a small ring around the glass while leaving lots of large patches, small patches and slender legs of lacing clinging to the sides of the glass. Sipping creates a couple of arches and lots of long small legs and small patches of lacing.
The aromas are filled with tropical fruits such as pineapple, mango and papaya with some citrus and some crackery malt in the background.
The flavors include what is expected from the nose with the tropical fruits and biscuity malt. In addition there’s some citrus, citric zest and some pine resin. The initial light sweetness from the malt nicely balances the bitterness from the hops with neither overpowering the other.
The mouth feel is on the light side of medium bodied and slightly prickly with the active, finely bubbled carbonation. The finish begins as the light sweetness quickly fades to dryness and is then followed by disappearing fruit and citric flavors. This leaves the clean, crisp dry ending to a light bitterness that persists for a long time.
Overall this is a drinkable beer that I’ve enjoyed having. It’s well made, refreshing and the flavors play nicely with each other. I could see having more than one. That said, I don’t think that either this beer, or the Brut IPA style it represents, will be bumping any of my regulars from their spot in my rotation of beers to be repeated.

Wasn't familiar with this style of beer and this was the 1st one I tried. Really enjoyed it. That was a few years back when it came out.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a Speiglau IPA glass.
Look is a hazy golden yellow with a thick off-white head.
Aroma is strong Belgium yeast, like a Duval.
Taste is like a hoppy Belgian golden ale. Very dry and crisp.

Brut IPA pours a hazy golden color, with a small, but long lasting and lacing head. Bitter and dry aroma. Flavor is very dry, lots of hop flavors, a bit more on the bitter side. Good body and feel. Overall, a true brut IPA, dry and bitter.

It has a golden appearance; similar to that of champagne. It has a wheat aroma absent of any over powerimg stench. It has a dry and slightly crisp taste. Absent of aftertaste and has a smooth finish.
The New Belgium Brut IPA is a solid selection. I prefer the Brut style over the traditional IPA and would recommend this to someone who likes IPAs that don't overwhelm the tastebuds.

Brut IPA | New Belgium Brewing. Poured from the bottle into a glass, this sports a three finger thick head, with webbed lacing, and medium gold body.
Smells like earthy grains and cattier hops.
I taste hops almost overpowered my malts. Clean and refreshing nonetheless. Not bad, but I just don't know how I feel about it...
Medium-light mouthfeel with mild carbonation
Brut IPA | New Belgium Brewing gets an overall 4 out of me.

Appearance: Cloudy golden, with a big white head of fizzy suds. Nice lace, too.
Aroma: Dry, juicy hops. Nice.
Taste: Dry and nicely hoppy, with bitter citrus and pine notes. Tasty and worth repeating.
