22 oz bottle was poured into a stemless wine glass.

Appearance: This beer poured a one finger mocha head that reduced to a thin layer. It is a pitch black color with no clarity, bit visions of tiny bubbles towards the top of the glass. Some lacing on the glass as the beer was drank.

Smell: Sweet lactose sugar, roasted coffee, chocolate, oak, vanilla, and a little smoke. Can't wait to try this one out.

Taste: Very tasty brew. All of the aromas above blended nicely.

Mouthfeel: Silky and creamy smooth, a little dry, full bodied, medium carbonation, and very drinkable.

Overall: Pretty solid brew from the brewery. I good take on the style and the oakiness gives the beer subtle flavors and characteristics.

Not sure how old this beer is, but its not a new release so I assume its from last year, which I found in a hole in the wall liquor store for $5.00

A: This stout pours very dark with a good 1/2 in creme colored head that leaves some lacing.

S: I get aromas of sweet lactose and roasted malts. Hints of chocolate and dark fruit follow.

T: The taste is similar to the smell, sweet lactose, espresso, dark chocolate and some plum or other dark fruit.

M: The taste is very sweet and creamy with a tartness at the end of the mouth. Definitely a sipper!

O: Very good Milk Stout which are my favorites amongst the class. Was going to save this until December, but decided to drink it know I will be able to get at least 1 more. Very good craft by the Blue Hills!
