Copenhagen 22/8 2019. 50 cl on tap in Milkeller at Copenhagen Airport.
Pours clear opaque amber with a small white head. Settles as thin layer of foam barely able to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Moderately intense, sweet and sour aroma. Caramel, bread, very light roast. A bit bland.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, oily, lively texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undercurrent. Lingers for a while.
A bit bland but with a nice bitter aftertaste.

Pours a dark amber with fine foam.

Pours a deep, drak mahogany coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of bready, slightly grainy malt, with hints of toffee, red berries and herbal hops. Taste is a good balance of bready, grainy malt, herbal hops and very light yeast esters, with hints of toffee, red berries and green apple. Finishes with a light/medium bitterness, very light tartness and some bready malt, red berries and herbal hops lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
It's been a while since I had the original Uerige Alt, but this seems a little lighter on those signature esters in favor of slightly deeper malts and more herbal hops. It's a very good Alt, no doubt about that, but at the same time I don't really see any reason to drink this over the Original.

Small sample from bottle, shared at Bor's. Pours a nice clear amber to brown colour and and off white head with little retention. Aroma's of peardrops, light hoppy. Retronasal it's fruity, peardrops, caramel, some hops. Flavour is light moderate sweet with light bitterness. Light bodied. Long finish, slightly bitter. True alt, I wonder what Mikkel's doing was.

Pours a nut brown color with a big, beige head atop.
Smell is of lighter camp fire, toffee and fresh harvested herbs.
Drinks refreshing, with a light body and a fitting, higher carbonation, making this go down very easy.
Tastes of an initial aqueous softness, bakers chocolate, hints of caramel and toffee. Turns drier, once the beer‘s higher carbonation gets noteable, adding a note of dried leaves and additional blueberries to the rustic maltiness in this. Finishes a little spicy, malty, enriched by a note of wild honey and aqueous.
This is a good Alt. Not sure why it needs Mikkeller to create a maltier version of regular Uerige, but this has certainly the right amount of depth to it, while remaining perfectly crushable.
