Nice aroma on pour of citrus and pine resins. Flavor is nice up front of pine and citrus bite and caramel malt flavor. Starts off cool and
old school on the IPA profile. Then on the backend of the flavor profile there is muddled hop flavor and clashing balance. The body of this is off - might be water chemistry. Just not a great clean hop profile as I get deeper into this pour. This is a fine beer, but not great.

Pours a hazy orange that isn't completely opaque. It has two fingers of khaki foam that foam up eagerly, and retain extremely well. Aroma is thick hops, with resin, pine, dank, and citrus. It spins a dark web of syrupy, hoppy goodness. Underneath is heavy biscuit malts just poking through the dense hops. It smells like a sticky IPA. Flavor profile is dense as well, hitting notes of resin, pine, citrus, tropical fruits, and light dank. It really is a hearty blend of east and west coast IPA styles, but without the bitter bite. It has a firm malt base that supports the hops well. Mouth feel is medium-thick with a velvety texture lending it as a slow drinking beer. Overall, good hop tones with a 7% ABV. It drinks a little heartier than it's ABV might suggest, but makes for a delightful experience.

Served in a Teku 3.0 from a 12oz bottle.

12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a thin, white head of foam. It smelled of pine and toasted caramel. Citrusy taste with sweet caramel and a piney bitterness.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Weizen glass. L: Decent head. Excellent sticky lacing. S: good hop aroma, nice malt undertone. T: a good use of bittering hops. Malt comes thru as the glass empties. F: Crisp, not boozy. O: I enjoyed this one. Need a full 6 pack of this one.

Pours a lovely light burnt orange with a one finger off white head. Aroma is very nice, a great mix of citrus, grapefruit, and pine, reminiscent of the typical west coast ipa. Taste follows with big pine, grapefruit, resin, and earth up front, followed by citrus, and a rounding flavor of orange marmalade with a smooth and light hop bitterness on the finish. Mouthfeel is great, smooth and creamy, with a kick of slightly prickly carbonation making it a hugely drinkable ipa. Overall, I'm quite impressed with this offering by a small Nebraska brewery that is just starting to see distribution in Kansas. A very well done west coast ipa.

new one from these guys and its not bad, a little more intense than i remember their regular ipa being, but its been a long time. still fairly malt in terms of its balance and complexion, but the hops are a little more pine forward and bitter, more of a west coast type, pretty sturdy as they go, but easy enough to drink too. its better when its ice cold, which i never think is an amazing sign for an ipa, they should unwrap and open up as they warm, but this one gets a little too malty and slightly metallic and boozy as well. the hops do provide a nice bitterness, and this is more robust in flavor than most other india pales i have had from the area, so i think its a big step in the right direction. its also kind of all over the place out there, which i think is also useful in terms of getting more folks exposed to beer this intensely flavored. substantial body on it, i like that, but i think the malt could be scaled back just a touch to let flavor equal bitterness on the hop front. nice with grilled foods and bitter vegetables, as well as salty snacks, but i do think it is better with a food context than on its own. all things considered, this is pretty good.
