Another pour from another end of the day drinking session after a day of skiing. I believe this was BeerNV. Could have been Pinon.
Anyhoo, pours a west coast ipa like golden yellow with ample clarity to it. 1/3" white head. The aroma leans more on the grapefruit rind than it does purported tropical fruit aromas.
The taste has a woody bitterness to it beyond what is typically thought of as hop flavors. Not sure what hops they used, but the commercial tug job related to tropical fruit notes comes up short. Bitches keep comin' up short fuckin' w Too $hort. Great, that tune is now stuck in my head. Proportion of bittering hops outpaces everything else. Light minimal feel of two row. Session ipa like body. Alcohol and bitterness are ample.
Generally it feels similar to other hoppy beers from Anderson Valley, except now they have lightened the malt bill significantly and thrown in a couple hop cones of proprietary hops that have minimal impact.

Poured outta a can into a shaker glass.
Yellow orange in color, slightly hazy. You can really smell the hops. Mouth feel is thin, dry, with medium-high carbonation. Tastes more West coast than NE. Bitter taste that overpowers the fruit notes. Anderson def does other styles better (try their brown).

12oz can with no freshness date. Sample from the brewery.
Bright, golden yellow with a thick, fluffy, white head. Aroma is dank, but soft with ripe fruits. Slightly chewy mouthfeel. Candied fruitiness with tropical and citrus notes and a hit of passion fruit. Herbal and bitter with some pine and an earthiness that runs into the bready finish. Leaves a resiny oiliness on the tongue.
A bit too sweet, but otherwise Funkin Nutz is a fairly decent IPA.

I got a can of this beer from my brother in law for my birthday. It poured a slightly hazy orangish with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had dank fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with dank citrus bitterness. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.

Sampled at the brewery as part of a flight of beers. On tap, poured into a 5 ounce tasting glass. Golden in color, with a full white head that offered nice lacing. Slight hoppy aroma. First sip is citrusy with a clean hops finish. Good mouth feel.

12oz can into an IPA glass.
Look: Pours an attractive clear gold with a soapy white head that leaves some nice fine, sticky lacing down the side of the glass.
Smell: Tropical fruit rules here with pineapple, mango, passion fruit, and a hint of citrus and bubblegum.
Taste: There's a sweet sugar/bubblegum note at the beginning mixing with the aforementioned tropical fruit and citrus. Finishes with a dry, bitter earthy pine.
Feel: Medium body, decent carbonation with tiny bubbles.
Overall: Lacking only slightly in malt balance. It has all the other makings of a good WCIPA.

Pours Golden and clear. Nose is sort of 'flat' with a hint of citrus. Taste is also a bit flat, but then the bitterness of the hops hit the palate. The back of the tongue is hit with a typical west coast IPA bite. The abv is very evident. Good to above average IPA.
