Had on tap at the brewery. Reviewed from notes.
A: Served a dark honey-brown color with a thin white head that left an impressive solid sheet of lacing down the glass.
S: Notes of sweet whisky, honey, and light hops. I'm getting something peppery or spicy from the whisky as well.
T: Pine hops up front with hints of grapefruit, but overall the flavors are very sweet and nutty. I get faint whisky, especially in the aftertaste, and honey through and through. Finish has some caramel and raisin.
M: Full bodied with a sticky mouthfeel. There's a good amount of bitterness to it, and soft bubbly carbonation. Alcohol is flavorful but light.
D: I can definitely taste the DIPA that's mixed into this one. Good balance of whisky, and it's never overpowering. I would definitely drink this again.
