Lots of toasted coconut - perhaps a little too much, to the point that it dominates any other flavors. And it is more of an artifical coconut, reminiscent of what you find in girl scout Samoa cookies.

Ruby amber color, cloudy. Lasting rim bubbled head. Good blanketing and streaky lace.

Appropriate smell of yeast and biting farmhouse spices.

A touch of fruitiness and cream to the tongue. Full bodied but with a solid level of carbonation. Long soured cream aftertaste. Attractive and subtle.

I think this is an excellent beer. The 22 oz bottle (F1503) poured a luminous hazy gold, capped with a tight, thick head. Very pleasant "farmhouse" smells with a bit more malt than expected. This beer has great balance and the finish goes herbal and slightly citrusy. The 7% kick is well masked but this is far from a light beer. The mouthfeel is full and smooth and the conditioning is spot on. I purchased this at Krugel's Georgetown Deli in W-B which is an OUTSTANDING venue. Wonder if there's any more ?
