Our newest seasonal IPA is a West-Coast warrior for Hop Heads who truly love those little green cones. Bright and lively, it encircles the senses with dank notes of pine and citrus until the only option is surrendering to its juicy deliciousness. A stealth attack of hops!

Poured out of a 12 oz. can into one of my pint glasses, this beer pours a clear, medium golden/copper color w/ a fluffy looking white head that's about half an inch thick when first poured. Head has good retention, and head eventually settles to some small swirls of film layer foam surface coating with a medium sized ring lining the inside of the glass at the beer’s surface along with some very excellent lacing. Aromas of some slightly bready, slightly herbal, lightly toasted malts along w/ grassy and citrusy hop notes w/ some tangerine and melon certainly present on my nose. A similar flavor profile, with the aforementioned bready, slightly herbal malt sweetness that's followed by some grassy hops with notes of tangerine, melon and mango. A truly excellently integrated hop profile here. Has a crisp, also smooth, medium to full bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a slightly dry finish, and all of the flavors linger nicely for awhile on my palate after each sip. A very solid beer here indeed!

12oz can into a pint glass. Canned 1/17/25, so 4 months + in age.
Fine looking pint. Pale golden yellow body, persistent bright white head, streams of carbonation, and a spider's web of lacing. Aroma is a little musty. On tasting, old school ipa, heavy with piney bitterness. Sweetness from the malt supports it well. Finish is strong, bitter.
Overall, considering the age, this beer holds up extremely well, indicative of a brewer who knows how to handle west coast ipas

On tap at Pittsburgh location, South side.
Third tasting of the day, so my buds are almost gone .... This is where Leah comes in ...
... Except she didn't.
6/13/25, having again at Pies and Pints.
Surprisingly floral and big taste of honey. Surprisingly sweet for Dave, (after finishing Benjamin Danklin) and yet it has a really nice dank bitterness.

Expressive and assertive IPA that harkens to WC leanings with an excellent chewy hop nature and some raw bitterness. There is a solid pale malt backbone that balances the experience overall. Pine, citrus, and pineapple notes abound. Great IPA that disposes of the hazy trend leaving it in its wake. Old school hopheads take note

It pours a solid gold amber. Very hoppy. Woody notes with calypso hops. It has a grassy mouth feel that is delish. It’s full bodied like Dolly Parton and goes down like a sweet summer dream

Guess i am past west coat ipas, found this one to be scratchy and bitey, not one to be enjoyed. Most Fatheads are very good, this one did not work for me.

Clear wedding band gold with a very tall, off-white foam head.
The nose at first seems sharper and more astringent than Head Hunter, but then taste is softer and subtler, though still biting of evergreen and orange peel.
Overall, while solid, it seems to have a little less clarity and composure than the GOAT, while also having a lighter, airier body.

This is an intense beer without being a boozy one and I love it for it. Piney and citrusy aromas and an intense bitterness are the main characteristics and you don't really need much else for this type of IPA. I'm a fan.

12oz can served in a tulip. Can is dated 01/02/24. Received from @ovaltine in NBS BIF #18.
Pours a mostly clear golden-brassy color, big dense head, lots of active carbonation. Smell is somewhere between dank and earthy hops, definitely noticeable grain notes, maybe a little bit of old hay.
Taste is a bit more expressive. There's almost a rye spiciness in the grain bill now, hops clear up more in the cut grass and leaves bitterness direction, grain opens up a bit more into honey wheat bread with a little added honeysuckle. Followed by a nice, solid pine bitter kick, counter-balancing all those neat sweet notes pretty well.
Mouthfeel is dry, soft, medium-bodied. Overall, nice.

12 oz. can 4 months old. The look of light haze, amber and copper. Smell is really nice, got some pineapple, mango, and others, beyond my olfactory sense. Nothin steps on the other, a delightful blend. Taste is good+. Mouthfeel is effervescent, clings slightly on the tongue, good experience. This is a beer that I’m glad that I got a chance to experience. Alas, it was bought in Ohio, I live in Florida, it probably will never get there.
