Mata Feijoa is a palate cleansing, zesty fruit beer that bursts with the unique and distinctive taste and aromas of fresh NZ grown Feijoas. Relax and quench your thirst with this very refreshing champagne of beers. Feijoa’s are an abundant & popular fruit in NZ, often described as being a little like a guava or passion fruit in flavour.

This brew pours a pale amber see thru colour with average carbonation that leaves a fast vanishing one finger head with no lacing, the aroma is grapefruit, lime and mandarin,it has a very light mouthfeel with no substance and little watery tastes of grapefruit and lime zest and to be honest not much else, overall if you dont like beer that much this is your brew but definately not mine.

This pours a pale golden colour. Clear. Negligible head.

I have to admit that I have no idea what feijoa is supposed to smell or taste like.

The aroma is almost a bit like papaya but not as strong. A bit of citrus as well. Certainly smells more like juice than beer.

Again the flavour is more fruity than beer. A little sweet. Reminds me a bit of creaming soda.

Glad I have tried it but I won't be revisiting.

Appearance- Moderate Amber-Slight Orange Boy, its clean and carbonated with an appreciable head.
Smell- Feijoa, which is similar to a cross between grapefruit and lime peels. Very Citrus Rich.
Taste- Very little hops and a slight bit of sweet malt. The main flavor is the fruit. There is also a little hint of the yeast used.
Mouthfeel- Very smooth and the carbonation help carries the flavors.
Drinkability- The first time I have ever had Feijoa, so its really unique and different, but good.
